Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit

Live Oak Associates is part of the Project Management Team for Valley Water (formerly Santa Clara Valley Water District) on the Seismic Retrofit Project for Anderson Dam, the single largest capital improvement project in Valley Water’s history.

Live Oak Associates provides oversight of the environmental and permitting component being prepared by the Planning Team. Therefore, Live Oak Associates is the liaison between the Planning Team and Valley Water to ensure that the environmental documents are prepared in accordance with the Valley Water’s standards and that this material is appropriately integrated into the permitting process so that the dam retrofit work can be constructed within the schedule established by the regulatory agencies.

Project Description

Anderson Reservoir is currently limited to about 3% of its capacity due to seismic concerns, costing Santa Clara County valuable drinking water resources. This project covers earthquake retrofitting of Anderson Dam to improve reliability and safety, and returns the reservoir to its original storage capacity.
